TYNE VALLEY - The Tyne Valley Clover Farmers showed their support to Connie Ellis, who has been diagnosed with cancer and is the mother of team forward Dillon Ellis.

The Clover Farmers donated their half of the 50/50 draw from Friday night's 6-5 overtime loss to the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx at the Tyne Valley Community Sports Centre to the Ellis family.

The game raised $302.  "The team would also like to thank Julia Phillips, who was the winner of the 50/50 draw. She had donated her share of the winnings  back to the Ellis family," says team manager, Adam MacLennan.  "A special thanks to all who attended the game."

"Since Dillon is a very important member of our team, we feel that there is no better way we can show our support to the Ellis family," added MacLennan.

There was also a benefit for the family at the O'Leary Legion on Friday.
