Charlottetown Eliminated After Round Robin

The Charlottetown Halliwell Consulting Abbies fell behind 3-0 after the first period and fought back hard, but in the end finished their final round robin with a 4-3 loss to the Kivalliq Canucks from Nunavut which officially eliminated them from contention on Friday afternoon.  The Abbies started the tournament with three straight losses, but still had a chance to qualify for the semi-finals with a win against the Canucks but was unable to complete the comeback.  The Abbies also fell 7-0 by the Eastern Shore Junior Mariners of Nova Scotia earlier on Friday.
 
PEI will host the Maritime-Hockey North Junior C Championships in 2012 and Hockey PEI is currently accepting bids from the league.  The host and Razzy's Junior C League champions will qualify for the tournament which was last hosted on PEI in 2008 by the North River Island Excavators Flames.
