March 20th - 26th, 2013

Traven's best playoff game came in the series-clinching win on Saturday night when he scored two key goals and if it wasn't for a fantastic desperation save by Lynx goaltender, Jon Miller, in the second period he would have had a hat-trick.  The Tignish Perry's Construction Aces leading scorer will be looked to be on his game when the team moves on to the Maritime-Hockey North Championships against some very strong opposition.

Jake played in all but one game for the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces in this year's playoffs and was certainly a key piece to the Aces championship.  He only gave up one goal in each of his games this week including the championship clinching win.

March 13th - 19th, 2013

Brett got the scoring started and then scored the game-winning-goal in the opening game of the finals to give the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces a 3-2 victory over the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx on Friday night.  Brett re-joined the team late in the regular season and didn't take long to get warmed up as he already has 13 points in his first seven playoff games.

The team captain lead the team defensively in a tight 3-2 victory on Friday night in the opener.  Kirk has had another strong season on the blueline for the Aces and has excelled in all dimensions of his game this year.  He's contributed well offensively and has stepped up with his toughness when needed as well, accruing 119PIM's thus far including three fights.

March 6th - 12th, 2013

Traven's four-goal night helped propel the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces into the island finals in a wild 9-6 series clinching victory over the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres.  The Aces' rookie lead the team in scoring this year in the regular season and is doing the same in the playoffs.

The Sabres' affiliate player stepped up and played a big role for the team after his midget team, the Kings County Minor Midget AAA Kings were eliminated from their playoffs.  In the Sabres final game of the season, he chipped in offensively with two goals and an assist.  Spencer played in six playoff games for the Sabres.

February 27th - March 5th, 2013

Shea had a big weekend, propelling the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces to a commanding 3-1 lead in their series with the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres. He had three points in the third period on Sunday afternoon which sparked the Aces comeback and lead to an important road victory. In four playoff games, Riley has seven points. He was second on the team in regular season scoring.

Jake has been busy in the Aces net since returning to the team mid-season and is having another good year.  He picked up back-to-back 6-3 wins on the weekend and made 62 saves in the process.  In 14 games this season, his game two double overtime loss was his only one.

February 20th - 26th, 2013

Andy got the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Construction Lynx started by scoring the team's first two playoff goals leading to their thrilling double-overtime win in game one and added another pair of assists in their win in game two.  The third-year player has been a big part of the team's offence this year with 30 regular season points and he never missed a game all season.

Glover started the year on forward then switched back to defence becoming one of top defencemen on the blue line for the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres.  His stay-at-home play earned the Sabres a 1-1 record to open their series against the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces in which they only allowed 6 goals in two games.  Matthew is a rookie in the league this year and has picked up eight regular season points and has an assist so far in the playoffs.

February 13th - 19th, 2013

In his last weekend in junior hockey, Tyler picked up five points to give the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch a chance in their series against the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres.  The Sabres ended up taking the series in four games, but Brown lead all players in scoring on both teams with seven points.  In his last season, Tyler was fourth in scoring on the team and made an appearance in the All-Star Game.

Jordan appeared in all three games on the weekend and was key to the Crunch's chances against the Sabres.  He had a shutout in game three that extended the series and was stellar in game four in a losing effort.  Jordan is a rookie in the league and likely has a bright future on the Morell team.

February 6th - 12th, 2013

Cameron had four goals and an assist to put the North River Island Excavators up two games to none in their series over Tyne Valley.  He scored the tying goal in game one and assisted on the winning goal in game two.  This is Cameron's second year in the league.

In a goaltenders dual, Aaron outlasted Morell Cover All Construction Crunch goaltender, Steven Lannigan, to give the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres a double-OT victory in game one.  Aaron stopped 54 shots over 71 minutes.  Aaron just recently joined the team after being picked up from the Holland College Hurricanes Junior B team.  He is not new to the league, however, after having played last season with Tyne Valley.

January 30th - February 5th, 2013

Kurtis had a 7-point night in the season finale against Tyne Valley on Saturday night.  The Stratford native finished the season second in points with 64.  Kurtis is in his final year of junior eligibility and in four years has racked up 160 points.  His 2012-13 season was by far his best, as his highest previous regular season total was 37.  He's scored at least one point in 27 of the team's 28 games this season.

Jake made 40 saves in the most important game of the season for the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces this year and recorded the shutout.  The win gave the Aces the first seed in the playoffs. After coming home from out west in November he has posted a 10-0 record with a league-leading GAA and save percentage among goalies with a minimum of five games played. He could be the reason the Aces make a long playoff run again this year.

January 23rd - 29th, 2013

Slade had a four-goal performance on Friday night against the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres.  The win kept the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces alive in the race for the top-seed in the playoffs.  This was the second four-goal performance and his last one was also against the Sabres.  In fact, 10 of his 26 goals have come against Belfast.

Even in a losing effort, Steven had a remarkable performance on Saturday night in Crapaud against the top-ranked South Side MacDonald Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx.  He made 37 saves in regulation and overtime and turned aside the first four Lynx shooters in the shootout before allowing the game winner.  Steven's recent play has earned some time ice time as an affiliate player for the Sherwood Jr. B team.

January 16th - 22nd, 2013

The Morell Cover All Construction Crunch's points leader scored three on Sunday night in a victory over Tyne Valley and racked up seven total points on the weekend.  Darcy has already surpassed his career best in points with 40 through 24 games.  The hat-trick on Sunday night was his second of the season.

After a tough loss on Saturday night against the North River Island Excavators Flames, Jason bounced back with a shutout on Sunday afternoon against the red-hot Tignish Perry's Construction Aces.  The Belfast Surge Energy Sabres netminder also started for the league team in the All-Star game to kick the week off on Wednesday night.

January 9th - 15th, 2013

The league leader in points is coming off a ten-point weekend in which the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres took a pair of wins to keep pace with the league leaders.  Josh has been on fire as of late and has scored at least two points in each of his last 13 games.  The combination of Doran, Kurtis MacEwen, and Jeremy Godkin are 1-2-3 in the scoring race.

In Kurt's first ever Junior C game he stopped all 19 shots en route to just the second shutout in the league this season in a 5-0 win at Tyne Valley.  Willis enters the league after playing in six games for the Charlottetown Abbies of the IJHL who recently folded.  He was 1-2 with a 5.06 GAA with the Abbies.  This is his first year in junior hockey.

January 3rd - 9th, 2013

The South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx' leading scorer had a huge weekend, scoring the game winner with five minutes remaining against the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres, and a hat-trick the next night in Tyne Valley.  Rob vaulted into sixth spot in the scoring race.

Chase had a good night in the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces' win over the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch on Sunday night. Chase stopped 27 shots in the victory.  Chase sits second in the league in save % (.901), and 3rd in GAA (3.13).

December 26th, 2012 - January 2nd, 2013

Chris led the North River Island Excavators Flames in a 7-1 victory over the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch with five points including a natural hat-trick.  The former, Charlottetown Abbie has had a great year with 30 points in 19 games and has earned a spot on the league's all-star team for the game on January 16th.

South Side MacDonald Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx goaltender, Dylan Garnhum turned in a solid performance holding the high scoring Tignish Perry's Construction Aces to just two goals on 27 shots Saturday night in Crapaud. The win haulted the Aces five-game win streak.  Dylan made several key saves in the dying minutes of the game to ensure the Lynx got their two points for the weekend.

December 19th - 25th, 2012

Robert had a 5-point night in the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres' 7-4 win over Tyne Valley on Friday.  Last year's scoring champion is well below his scoring pace from a year ago, but showed on Friday night that he is a strong offensive threat that other teams will have to defend.  The overage player has now amassed an enormous 212 points over 115 league games.

Taylor had another solid outing on Saturday night in a tough matchup with Tyne Valley.  He turned aside 27 shots on the night which enabled the North River Island Excavators Flames to hold on for a 5-3 win.  He has been the busiest goalie in the league to this point having league highs in games played (13) and minutes played (762) and has earned his extra time.

December 12th - 18th, 2012

Slade had a break-out four-goal performance on Friday, in an overtime win for the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces over the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres. After a slow start the line of Gallant, Shea and Handrahan are starting to produce with a combined 15 points in their last three games.  In his third season in the league, Slade is one point away from his career high and is fourth in the league in goals scored (16).

John was is a very familiar spot this week with his third defensive player of the week award, but this is the first time he's done it after having a perfect weekend.  He stopped all 24 shots he faced and is the first goaltender to record a shutout of the 2012-13 season in the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx' 5-0 win over the North River Island Excavators Flames on Saturday night

December 5th - 11th, 2012

Jeremy moved into top spot in the scoring race with an 11-point weekend including nine points in a blowout victory over Tyne Valley as the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres moved into sole posession of second place in the standings.  The Stratford native is an overage player who's within four points of surpassing his career high last season with Pownal.  In 109 career games, he has 147 points through last weekend.

John had a great game in a close battle against Morell Cover All Construction Crunch on Friday night.  His 32-save performance enabled the Lynx to hold on for a tight 3-2 victory.  John leads the league in both GAA (2.38), save % (.917), and wins (6) through last weekend in just his first year in the league.

November 28th - December 4th, 2012

Josh had an outstanding weekend offensively for the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres, scoring four goals on Friday night and assisting on all three goals in a tight game on Sunday afternoon at home against the North River Island Excavators Flames.  Josh is in his last year in the league and is another one of the strong offensive weapons the Sabres imported from Pownal.  He is on pace to have his best season offensively.

Robert picked up his second win of the season in a close battle with the Flames on Sunday afternoon.  In a game where goals were hard to come by, he was able to turn aside 31 shots to out-duel one of the hottest goalies in the league as of late and give his team a sweep of their weekend games.  This is his first season in the league.

November 21st - 27th, 2012

The captain of the North River Island Excavators Flames, led his team to two victories over the weekend scoring six goals and adding a shootout goal in Sunday's win over the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres.  Sunday's win was the Flames' sixth in a row and moved them into a tie for top spot in the league and Brennan's offensive outburst put him into a tie for the lead in the league's scoring race with 23 points.

Jacob was a big contributor to the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces big weekend. Not only was he very strong defensively in both games, but he also added a hat-trick and an assist in Friday nights win over the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch.  Although Leclair is usually known as a stay-at-home tough guy he added some rare help offensively this weekend.  In fact, over his first 76 games in the league (over the past two seasons) he had only a single goal.  He tripled that output in one night on Friday.

November 14th - 20th, 2012

JD had a five-goal weekend to lift the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch to two victories this weekend.  At home on Friday night, he scored a hat-trick to give the Crunch a 7-6 win over Tyne Valley, while on Sunday afternoon in Belfast, he added two more as they doubled up the Sabres 6-3.  JD played in five games for the Crunch last season and recorded seven points as a midget affiliate player and in his first season of junior eligibility he finds himself in second in goals (10) to this point.

Taylor backstopped the North River Island Excavators Flames to two big victories over the weekend which vaulted them into sole possession of second place.  On Saturday, he shut down the high-powered offence of the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres to just one goal and did the same in Tyne Valley on Sunday night against the Clover Farmers.  This is Taylor's first season with the Flames, after playing the last two seasons with Charlottetown.

November 7th - 13th, 2012

Cody scored four goals and had three assists in a two-game sweep of the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres last weekend which put the Lynx in first place.  The Dawson - (Chad) Murphy - (Rob) Miller line has been dangerous in the early part of the season with a combined 51 points in the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx' first seven games.

Dakota was a defensive key to the North River Island Excavators Flames two close victories over the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch on the weekend.  In addition to his regular shift he plays an important role on the power play and on the penalty kill.  He also contributed offensively with a goal and an assist.  Dakota is a rookie this season, after playing the last three seasons with the Cornwall Thunder of the NB / PEI Major Midget AAA League.

October 31st - November 6th, 2012

Tyler was in on all five of Tyne Valley's regulation goals and scored in the shootout to give the Clover Farmers their first win of the season in dramatic fashion on Sunday night at home against the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch. This is Tyler's first year in the league. The Summerside native played the 2010-11 season with the Western Red Wings of the IJHL. He's proving to be a player to watch this season to contribute offensively.

Chase has been busy in the early part of this season, appearing in five of the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces first six games and picked up a pair of victories on the weekend. On Friday night he turned aside 31 of 32 Tyne Valley shots and on Sunday afternoon in Belfast, he was a big factor in handing the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres their first loss of the season in a tightly contested matchup. Chase is a second-year player who appeared in two just two games for the Clover Farmers last season.

October 24th - 30th, 2012

Second year forward Rob Miller of the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx currently sits at the top of the league points race.  He had three goals and an assist in the Lynx' 6-3 victory over the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch on Friday night and followed it up with a goal and three assists in their 6-1 win over Tyne Valley on Saturday night.  Rob has scored 10 points in the first three games of the season.

John had an almost perfect performance in Saturday night's 6-1 home win for the Lynx.  John stopped 18 of 19 Clover Farmer shots for his first victory of the season.  He tops the league in GAA (2.50) through two games.

October 17th - 23rd, 2012

Lee scored a hat-trick on opening night against the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces, but his last two were the biggest.  With the Belfast Surge Energy Sabres trailing by a goal in the final minutes against the Island Champs, the rookie forward scored two goals eleven seconds apart to give the Sabres their first win since 2006.

Logan put up five assists in his first game with the North River Island Excavators Flames.  The second-year defenceman who played last season with Charlottetown was solid defensively in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Aces with solid passes and big plays at big moments.  Logan was +4 on the night and cleared the puck out of danger several times in front of the Flames' net.
