March 17th - 23rd, 2010

Nathan had only two multi-goal games in the regular season, but showed his offensive skill in the playoffs, scoring seven goals in the four games he appeared in including a whopping four-goal night against the Charlottetown AG Electric Abbies in the title-clincher on Thursday night.

Mark recorded his league-leading fourth shutout of the season in the title clinching game for the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces on Thursday night.  He had another solid playoffs, with a .915 save percentage over four games and will be needed as the Aces head to Fredericton for the Atlantics in April.

March 10th - 16th, 2010

Kenzie has really stepped up his game in the playoffs. He leads the team in points and has scored when the team needed the goals the most. He picked up a goal in each of the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces' wins on the weekend.  He also won several important face-offs and has been a great penalty killer. He is a real asset to the team.

Spencer was a solid defenceman who contributed both offensively and defensively in both wins over the Charlottetown AG Electric Abbies on the week-end. He picked up two goals in Saturday night's road win.  As well as his regular shift, he also plays on the power play and kills penalties. He handles and moves the puck well and was a big factor in a successful week-end.

March 3rd - 9th, 2010

Mike scored a hat-trick, including the winner, in the opening game of the finals against the Charlottetown AG Electric Abbies on Sunday evening.  He also scored a goal in the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces' series clinching victory over Pownal on Friday night.  Mike was second in scoring for the Aces and seventh in the league during the regular season with 34 points.

Tyson is a very solid defencemen who can play a very physical game as well as being able to move the puck up the ice. He is the Aces highest scoring defence in the playoffs as well as the regular season and was a big part of the leadership of the team this past weekend.

February 24th - March 2nd, 2010

Josh played hard this week, with his heart on his sleeve for the Charlottetown AG Electric Abbies.  He scored the series-clinching goal with less than five minutes remaining and added an assist on Saturday night against the North River Island Excavators Flames.  Josh has been clutch with 5 of his 8 goals being game winners.

Mike's play has kept the Red Devils alive in their series against the league's most productive offense, the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces.  He's a former Midget AAA all-star and gives it his all every game as the team's defensive backbone.

February 17th - 23rd, 2010

It wasn't so much the number of goals scored over the first two games of the Charlottetown AG Electric Abbies' semi-final series, but the magnitude of them that earned Mike the offensive award.  He scored the winning goal on the power-play with less than five minutes remaining in game one and followed it up with the winner on Tuesday night in a double-overtime thriller that gave the Abbies a stranglehold on the series.

Jonathon helped the North River Island Excavators Flames finish off a tight defensive series against the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Construction Lynx with a 3-1 win on Thursday night in Crapaud.  He then battled for over 83 minutes in a tough double-overtime loss in game two against the Abbies on Tuesday night.

February 10th - 16th, 2010

Jamie Kelly continues to lead his team in scoring in the playoffs. He scored 1 goal in Morell's loss Friday night, before recording hat-tricks in both games two and three against the Red Devils. His performance kept the Flyers alive in a tight series.

Alex faced a barrage of shots during the week, holding the league's second ranked offense to just four goals over two games and earning the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx a huge playoff win that forced a fourth game in the series.

February 3rd - 9th, 2010

The Tignish Perry's Construction Aces locked up first place last week with three dominant victories.  Their largest offensive output on the weekend came from Shea, who lead the team in goals, assists and points this season, and finished fourth in the league scoring race.  The Aces had the lowest penalty minutes total this year and Evan's 4 PIM over 22 games this season is reflective of the discipline that is needed to stay at the top of the standings.

Jonathon's two victories on back-to-back nights last week was enough to earn the Red Devils home ice advantage in their first round series against Morell.  The 3-2 overtime win Saturday night against the Charlottetown AG Electric Abbies was against a hungry team that was fighting for top spot in the standings, and came after a big win in Morell the previous night.

January 27th - February 2nd, 2010

Chad scored 4 goals including the game-winner on Saturday night against the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx, and added a goal and an assist in a big win over the first place Charlottetown AG Electric Abbies on Monday night.  He is a speedy, hard working forward who is effective on special teams and is a huge asset to his team in the dressing room.  This weekend's offensive outburst moved him into a tie for third in the league's scoring race.

Kevin played a key role in both of the Flames victories this past weekend.  He made several clutch saves to preserve victories over the Lynx and the Abbies.  He posted a .937 save percentage over the two games and appears to have raised his level of play to the level that took the Flames to game seven of the finals last season.

January 20th - 26th, 2010

Jason had three goals and an assist in the Red Devils' win over the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Construction Lynx on Monday night. One of his goals was the game winner. His four points in one game boosts his total points for the year to twelve, seventh on the team.

Ben had a 23-save shutout in a 1-0 win over the North River Island Excavators Flames on Friday. He then made 31 saves and was the Abbies best player the next night, allowing 2 goals in a 4-2 loss to the Flames, the other 2 goals were empty net goals.  He leads the league with a remarkable .926% save percentage.

January 13th - 19th, 2010

Patrick scored the winning goal, picked up a hat-trick, and added an assist in the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Construction Lynx' 8-4 win over the Pownal Red Devils on Saturday night.  It was their first win in four games and moved the Lynx to within four points of Pownal in the standings.  His hard work paid off and will need to continue as the Lynx have a busy schedule in which they play seven games over the final three weeks of the regular season.

Rodney played some very big minutes for the Charlottetown AG Electric Abbies over the week. He played half the game against the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces due to a shortage of players and logged extra minutes on penalty killing duties and late in wins against the Morell Flyers and North River  Island Excavators Flames.

January 6th - 12th, 2010

Adam led the North River Island Excavators Flames all weekend and racked up key points in the process.  He scored with 49 seconds left in Monday's game to earn a tie against Morell, and helped set up the tying goal late in Friday's game against Pownal.  He also assisted on the game-winning goal on Saturday night against the Flyers.  He plays on the power-play and penalty-kill, and is effective at both ends of the rink.

Defensively, Garrett is one of the toughest players to get by on the rush and to beat in the corners.  He made some nice passes out of his zone, which led to some big goals on the weekend in a tough home-and-home with North River and a game against the Island Champion Tignish Perry's Construction Aces.  He has been picking up a lot of points lately, for a defenseman, which is helping the Flyers remain competitive against the league's top teams.

December 30th, 2009 - January 5th, 2010

Alex scored a goal in each of the Charlottetown AG Electric Abbies' games last weekend.  He scored the winning goal against the Souris Mike's Boat Haulers in a tight 3-1 victory at home on Saturday night and recorded the lone marker in a tough road loss on a stormy night in Tignish on Sunday.  His game seems to rise to the next level against the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces, who he's recorded 5 of his 15 points against.

Mark backstopped the Aces to a big home win on Sunday night against the Abbies.  He held his opponents to one goal and haulted the first-place Abbies' win streak at a remarkable eleven games and extended his teams' streak to three games.  The last Abbies loss previous to this was November 13th.  His save percentage is creeping back up to where it was last season when he helped clinch the Island Championship.

December 23rd - 29th, 2009

Nigel scored four goals and added a helper to earn a 9-4 win over the Souris Mike's Boat Haulers on Monday night, and help extend the Flyers' win streak to 4 games.  Nigel showed a lot of heart, and his hard work on the forecheck caused several turnovers that led to big goals.

Ryan led the Charlottetown AG Electric Abbies defensively in their 6-2 win over the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Construction Lynx on Sunday.  He was great in the Abbies' zone and controlled the game with his quick puck movement and toughness along the boards.  He was plus three on the night.

December 16th - 22nd, 2009

Kenzie recorded points on half of the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces' goals on the weekend. He set up both goals in a tough loss to Pownal on Friday night and had a goal and two assists in Sunday's win over the Souris Mike's Boat Haulers, which put an end to a rare 4-game losing streak for the Aces.  He recorded 45 points last season and will be a key factor the rest of the way if the Aces intend to repeat as league champions.

Jordan is the first repeat award winner this season.  He led his team to wins over the weekend against two of the top teams, the Aces and North River Island Excavators Flames.  His performance helped his team move to within one point of rival Morell in the standings.  He played outstanding and handled himself very well, while proving his capability of competing at a high level when called upon.

December 9th - 15th, 2009

Chad scored the first four goals in the game against Souris and ended up with 6 on the weekend to help re-establish the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF Macphee Construction Lynx as a scoring threat for the remainder of the season and end their 6-game losing streak.  He leads the team in scoring with 19 points and is tied for fourth in the league in goals (11).

Dillon posted back-to-back wins on the weekend.  He is still a midget-aged goalie and shows a lot of composure between the pipes. After spotting the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces a 3-0 lead on Sunday, he closed the door and made several key saves that allowed the Flyers to storm back and beat the Aces for the first time since March 9th, 2006.  During that span, the Flyers were 0-20-0-1 and outscored 206-83 by the Aces.

December 2nd - 8th, 2009

Mitchell's 9 points helped Morell move into 4th place in the standings over the weekend, and moved him into second place in the scoring race.  He had a point on every goal (including a hat-trick and 2 assists) in Saturday's 6-5 OT loss to Pownal.  His play earned him loads of ice time over a 3-game set on the weekend.

John played stand up defense in back-to-back wins for the North River Island Excavators Flames on the weekend.  His goal and two helpers were also crucial in an important win versus the rival Tignish Perry's Construction Aces on Saturday night.  Everything went North River's way while he was on the ice as he kept the Aces scoring chances to a minimum.

November 25th - December 1st, 2009

Jamie had an excellent weekend, with 2 goals and 3 assists in an 8-7 OT win against South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Construction Lynx on Friday, and 3 goals and 3 assists in a big 11-3 win over the Souris Mike's Boat Haulers on Sunday.  Jamie vaulted into first place in the scoring race with his 11 points on the weekend.

Team captain Luke McIver helped the Charlottetown AG Electric Abbies earn two wins on the weekend.  He lead the way defensively on the penalty kill, where the Abbies were 14 for 14 over the two games.  He had 2 big goals from the point in a big win over the North River Island Excavators Flames on Saturday that helped the Abbies leap from third to first place in the standings.

November 18th - 24th, 2009

Evan had back-to-back four-point games this weekend.  One goal and three assists in a 5-3 win in Crapaud on Saturday night, and the same in a 7-2 win in Souris on Sunday.  Evan is a very hard worker who plays with a lot of discipline.  He comes to games prepared to play every night and seems to improve with every shift.

Jon played an outstanding game in Pownal, leading his team to a 6-4 win coming off a tough loss the night before.  One save was a candidate for save of the year, when he dove across the crease at the last second to make one of his 29 saves on the night.  Thanks to his dedication and athleticism, the Flames were able to pull out a big win and remain on top of the standings.

November 11th - 17th, 2009

Lucas had 5 goals over two games, including a hat-trick on Saturday night.  Most importantly, was the fact that his play heightened that of his teammates.  Just what every coach wants to see.  He is very committed to his team, coming home from Fredericton to play on the weekends.  He is a team leader who demonstrates fair-play and intensity in his hockey skill.

Doug made a remarkable 56 saves against Morell to earn the Lynx a slim 4-3 win on Friday night.  He showed leadership and perseverance to help lead his team to a win in a tough rink.

November 4th - 10th, 2009

Chad had 6 points in Saturday's game against Morell, with 3 goals and 3 assists, for his second hat-trick in a row and the league lead in points.  His consistency and ability to be an all-around team player has made him a great asset to his team over the last 3 years.  He is an amazing, yet modest player.

Jordan was plus 6 in the Flames game against Morell on Saturday night.  He is a leader of a young defense that has an impressive 2.00 GAA.  Jorden logged a lot of ice time on the weekend and was very noticable and instrumental in the victory.

October 28th - November 3rd, 2009

Kyle led the Abbies with 2 goals and 4 assists over the weekend, helping them get 5 of a possible 6 points with a 2-0-1 record.  He leads the team in points (6) and is tied for the league lead.  He played extra minutes over the weekend with the Abbies short on players due to injuries.

Jordan stood on his head, stopping all 27 shots the Boat Haulers sent his way on Friday night in Pownal, leading his team to a 2-0 win.  He is a first-year player and sits third in GAA (1.50) and save % (.959) after two weeks of play.

October 21-27th, 2009

Ryan scored 6 goals in the Boat Haulers' home-opener against South Side on Sunday night.  He's a team-oriented player who travels from Summerside for practices and games.  He led the Haulers in scoring last season.

Ben was outstanding in goal for the Abbies, earning a 27-save shutout against Morell on Saturday night.  He made many key saves early in the game and helped kill off a major penalty in the late second that carried over into the third.  He also picked up an assist on the winning goal by hitting Josh Beaton with a pass coming out of the penalty box in the second period.
