Offensive Player of the Week: Georgetown IceDogs F Michael Gallant
Michael had a very strong game on Saturday night against the Metros leading the way with 2 goals including the game winner in a 6-3 Win., Michael has been a consistent scoring threat for the IceDogs this season with 6 goals through the first 7 games this season. Congrats Michael.
Defensive Player of the Week: Sherwood Metros G Zack Hughes
Zack stopped 41 of 42 pucks thrown his way including 16 in the third period as the Metros downed the league leading Tignish Aces 2-1. It was the the first win of the season for Zack which also snapped the Aces 6 game winning streak. Congrats Zack!
November 18th - 24th
Offensive Player of the Week: Tignish Aces F Brayden Handrahan
Brayden Started Friday night's game with two quick goals to give the Aces and early lead against the undefeated Georgetown IceDogs. He later added an assist for a three point game. His quick hands continued into Saturday's game against the Southside Lynx adding five assists. Both games resulted in two big wins for the Aces. Congrats Brayden!
Defensive Player of the Week: North River Flames G Jean - Luc Duguay
Jean - Luc turned aside 32 of the 34 shots he faced to help the flames to a big Home win over the First place Georgetown IceDogs. Congratulations to Jean-Luc Duguay!
November 11th - 17th Offensive Player of the week: Tignish Aces F Tristan Cahill
Tristan led the Aces offensively during the teams first two wins of the season over the weekend. Tristan finished with 2 goals including the game winner on Saturday night over a strong North River team to go along with 2 assists. Congratulations Tristan on a strong to start to the season and best of luck the rest of the way!
Defensive Player of the week: Georgetown IceDogs G Brandon Barrett
Brandon was stellar between the pipes on Friday night as the leagues top two teams met for the first time this season. Brandon turned aside 39 shots to earn the 2-1 OT victory and collect his 2nd win of the season. Brandon is enjoying his second season in the league and will be a large part in the success of the IceDogs season. Congratulations Brandon! |
