Abbies Clinch Island Championship
Posted By: JFDOUCET
Monday, March 28, 2011

The Charlottetown Halliwell Consulting Abbies spread out their scoring and had a solid goaltending performance from Chris Chandler as they clinched the island championship on Monday night with a 4-1 win in front of a large crowd at Simmons Arena.  The win is the Abbies first since 2000 and snaps the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces streak of three straight championships.

The Abbies will move on to the Maritime-Hockey North Junior C Championships on April 6-10th, in Clare Nova Scotia.
