The Sherwood Falcons have been granted a one-year leave of absence by the league after getting small numbers at their pre-season tryouts. The Falcons have been one of the most successful teams in the league over the last decade. They appeared in the finals for 6-straight season from 2002-2007, winning four championships.
The league will operate with 7 teams (up from 6 last season) and will utilize a 28-game schedule. Almost all games will be played on Friday's, Saturday's, and Sunday's to avoid players' busy schedules at University, College, and employment.
