The Souris Mike's Boat Haulers have folded. Team manager, Daryl MacKenzie, cited a low number of players as the reason.
Going forward, the league has been forced to quickly address scheduling challenges and slightly alter the playoff format.
The top two teams will receive a bye through the first round of the playoffs, with the remaining four teams playing off in a best-of-five. The two winners will move on and face the top two teams, in a best-of-five, followed by a best-of-seven final.
Since each team has played at least a home-and-home against Souris to this point, the first away and first home game versus Souris will continue to count in the standings. All games over and above that have been deleted from the standings, as well as player stats.
In order to ensure that all teams have the same number of home and away games, home-ice advantage has changed for one game and a couple of new games were added to the schedule which will result in each team having 26 games (13 home and 13 away) at the end of the season. The schedule has been updated on this website, however, there are still 5 unscheduled games.
