The 2012-13 Razzy's Junior C Hockey League will begin on October 19th as a 6-team league this season. The Charlottetown Abbies have withdrawn due to a low number of players at tryouts and the Pownal Red Devils have requested a 1-year leave as the team looks for a new manager & coaching staff.
Morell, Tyne Valley, Tignish, North River, South Side, and the expansion Belfast Surge will make up the roster of teams this season.
Other changes include the addition of shootouts to break ties during the regular season and most recently, the league announced that it will have an All-Star Game this season with a new and exciting format. The game will feature a team of 2012-13 All-Stars against an All-Star team of league alumni. The game will be scheduled for mid-January. More details on the event and on the recruitment process for the alumni team will be revealed in the coming weeks on the league website (www.PEIJuniorC.com).
The regular season schedule will be released this week.
