Offensive Player of the Week
#10 CODY MILLER (F) - Lynx

The rookie for the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx is now tied atop the league scoring race with 22 points in just 11 games.  He has not missed a game so far and is a big reason the Lynx are atop the league standings.  Cody was the Mid-Isle Matrix' top scorer last season in the Minor Midget AAA league.

#31 JAKE HACKETT (G) - Aces

Jake won Monday's road game in Sherwood with a 40-save performance for the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces.  He also played 15 minutes of shutout hockey in relief during the Aces 4-1 win at home on Friday night.  Jake is in his overage year and has a terrific .925 career save percentage with 6 shutouts over his four seasons in the league.

November 12th-18th, 2014

Offensive Player of the Week
#14 ROBERT SMITH - Hawks

The winless Hawks turned it around this weekend capturing their first win in a big way with the biggest offensive performance of the week.  After falling behind 1-0 in the first period of their game against the North River Island Excavators Flames, two goals by Robert Smith started a charge of six unanswered goals as the Hawks cruised to their first victory.

#30 JORDAN ZEMBER (G) - Falcons

Jordan had two strong games this week helping the Falcons earn three out of a possible four points in two close games.  These were Jordan's first two games in Junior C after playing five games with Kensington of the Junior B league.  He was stellar in an overtime loss to North River and a win against the Belfast Down East Auto Parts Sabres where in the first period he stopped a 20 shot attack.

November 5th - 11th, 2014

Offensive Player of the Week
#11 CAMERON MACMURDO (F) - Flames

Cameron scored a hat-trick in the first period in a huge statement game for the North River Island Excavators Flames when they defeated the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces 7-3 on Saturday night.  Cameron is an overage player who has accrued 120 points for the Flames over 103 games in his Junior C career.

#1 SEAN MacPHEE (G) - Lynx

For many years, a road game in Tignish has been very difficult to win, but a 34-save performance by Sean on Friday night for the streaking South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx earned them the top spot in the standings.  Sean is a rookie on the Lynx, and with their #1 goalie, John Miller in his overage year, he may just be getting started as a key player for years to come.

Offensive Player of the Week
#16 KEIRSTEN STEELE (F) - Sabres

Keirsten scored a hat trick in both of the Sabres' victories this weekend.  He is leading the league in goals in his rookie season. Keirsten's dominant play was the difference as the Belfast Down East Auto Parts Sabres won their third game in a row after dropping their first two.

#29 NOLAN COMPTON (G) - Sabres

Nolan stopped 36 shots for a key victory for the Sabres on Monday night in Sherwood.  The rookie netminder has started his Junior C career with a 2-1 record and has not given up more than three goals in each of his first three games.  He is second in GAA and save % after three games.

October 22nd - 28th, 2014

Offensive Player of the Week
#7 ROB MILLER (F) - Lynx

Last year's scoring champion is making his way back up the leaderboard after a six-point weekend in two wins for the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx.  Rob is an overage player who has scored 173 points (regular season and playoffs) to date for the Lynx.

Defensive Player of the Week
#31 JOHN MILLER (G) - Lynx

John gave up the games first goal in the first four minutes, but then turned aside every shot he faced the rest of the way to earn the Lynx a dominant win over the Sherwood Falcons on Monday night at Cody Banks.  John is also an overage veteran of the Lynx who's amassed a 29-13 record and a stingy 2.67 GAA over his career.

Offensive Player of the Week
#6 TRAVEN GAUDET (F) - Aces
Traven scored the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces' and the league's first goal of the season in Friday night's win over the Belfast Down East Auto Parts Sabres.  But it was his performance on Sunday night in Souris where he had a hat-trick and three helpers in a 9-5 win.

Defensive Player of the Week
#1 TY BARLOW (G) - Flames
 
Ty was stellar in the net as the North River Island Excavators Flames opened the season with a 9-1 victory over the Hawks. He made 30 saves many of which were from in tight and kept the Hawks from building any momentum.
