March 28th - April 3rd, 2012

Ryan picked up a goal and two assists in the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces' breakthrough game of the series offensively in game three in which they put up eight goals against the Pownal Redmond Enterprises Red Devils. Up until Friday night, five goals is the most Pownal had allowed in any game. Ryan is a fourth year player and is scoring on a torrid pace this post-season with 21 points in 15 games to lead the Aces.

Jonathan recorded a shutout Sunday against the Aces which tied the series back up. He made a number of point blank saves, one on a short-handed breakway in the first as part of a 25-save performance. The win avoided the Red Devils falling into a 3-1 series deficit. He also appeared in game three on Friday night in relief for the third period.

March 21st - 27th, 2012

Kris is in his last year of junior hockey and has had the most offensive season in his career by far with 49 points (26 was his previous high). He is a big reason why the Pownal Redmond Enterprises Red Devils are in the finals. He got them back on track with 2 goals and 2 assists Sunday against the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces to tie the series up. Kris has amassed 159 points in 124 career games.

Peter MacAulay is in his second year of junior and has had a record setting year with the Red Devils. He had a very strong game in game one against the Aces friday night, killing multiple penalties and in game two he did the same. With big blocks throughout the game. He also added a goal an assist in the 10-3 win while looking after his own end.

March 14th - 20th, 2012

Shawn lead the momentum shift in game six that enabled the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces to win the series against the Charlottetown Halliwell Consulting Abbies. Shawn scored twice and had an assist in that game to keep his team alive and set up the decisive win in game seven that ultimately vaulted his team into the finals. Shawn's been a huge factor in the playoffs and is one point away from matching his regular season total already. He has 16 points in 11 games.

Jake has had a remarkable playoffs as the #1 goaltender for the Aces. He has a stingy 1.63 GAA in eight games thus far with two shutouts including one of them this week in game seven versus the Abbies. Jake played in all three pivotal games this weekend and gave up only five goals over that span. The rookie has been a huge factor in the Aces playoff run and will be counted on for them in the finals and at the Maritime-Hockey North Championships.

March 7th - 13th, 2012

The only game winner of the season against the Red Devils was scored by Rob Miller in the third period of Friday's 5-4 win for the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Construction Lynx. It was his second of the game and he also had a couple others on the weekend. As a first-year player, Rob was fourth in team scoring during the regular season with 28 points in just 19 games. He only joined the team in late November.

Connor had a great season and continues to do the same in the playoffs. He was a big part in helping the Pownal Redmond Enterprises Red Devils bounce back after their first loss of the season and get them back on track to win game four. He made a number of great plays in his own end which ended with him making a pass out of the zone. He had a pair of assists in game four in a 5-4 win against the Lynx, in which they scored the game winner with 9 seconds left.

February 29th - March 6th, 2012

Kyle recorded two goals and three assists in the Charlottetown Halliwell Consulting Abbies' first two games of the series vs the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces. Both goals proved to be game winners and bumped his playoff totals to four game winners in the first five Abbies games. Kyle had his strongest season offensively with 38 points, but has been particularly effective in the playoffs with nine points in just five games.

Taylor made 33 saves as the Abbies took game one of the series. Doyle made many great stops from close in and held the Abbies in as Tignish out-shot the Abbies. He has not put up the numbers he did last season, but is 2-0 so far in this year's playoffs as the Abbies try to make a run at repeating as Island Champions.

February 22nd - 28th, 2012

Brett had a memorable four-point weekend for the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces which included the overtime goal that eliminated the Holland College Hurricanes on Saturday night and sent his team to the semi-finals. Brett is a rookie in the league this year and in only 11 regular season games he scored nine goals. He scored five points in three games with the team as an affiliate last season.

Chris had a remarkable 47-save shutout on Saturday night against Tyne Valley to give the Charlottetown Halliwell Consulting Abbies a sweep of what was a very tight series. The Abbies held the league's second-best offence from the regular season to just six goals over the course of the series and Chris' play was a big part in his team's success.

February 15th - 21st, 2012

Robert followed up a 12-point weekend with a 10-point weekend in the first weekend of the playoffs. 22 points in four games has earned him his second straight offensive award as the Pownal Redmond Enterprises Red Devils jumped out to a 2-0 series lead against the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch with two convincing victories. The steady play of the team's captain will be vital for them as the playoffs move on.

Kyle had a shutout in the North River Island Excavators Flames' first playoff game versus the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx. He made some key stops early in the game and this helped his team secure the victory. Kyle lead the team and was sixth in the league in the regular season with a 4.04 GAA.

February 8th - 14th, 2012

Robert had a tremendous 12 points in the final weekend of the season which was enough to give him the league scoring title with 60 points on the season. He recorded points in 24 of the 27 games he played in. The third-year Pownal Redmond Enterprises Red Devil forward put together a season of career highs in every category and played a huge part in his team's most dominant regular season (27-0-1) in league history.

Brady had another stellar performance this weekend in a 3-2 overtime win against the North River Island Excavators Flames after turning aside 35 shots. In his last two starts he has only allowed 3 goals against, both games decided by 1 goal. Brady has had an excellent regular season at 8-4-1, posting the best goaltending record besides the undefeated Pownal squad. These accomplishments have earned him a second straight defensive award.

February 1st - 7th, 2012

South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Construction Lynx veteran and scoring leader (3rd in the league) Chad Murphy had a three-point night on Friday in a 5-4 overtime win in Tyne Valley and followed it up with four more in an 8-2 victory over the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch in Crapaud on Saturday night. The 4-point weekend for the Lynx helped them move from a tie for last place up to sixth place in the standings in the highly competitive race for seedings in the playoffs and Chad played a major role in it.

Brady made some huge saves to help the Crunch overtake the Holland College Hurricanes in a crucial game Friday. His stellar play kept the Hurricanes from building on their 1-0 first-period lead long enough for his team to score two late goals for the come-from-behind victory. He was very busy, turning aside 40 shots in the contest.

January 25th - 31st, 2012

Sheldon was a catalyst in ending the Hurricanes big losing streak as he provided two goals on the road against South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx including the overtime winner and picked up three assists in the Hurricanes' 7-3 win over the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch on Sunday. He started last season with the Hurricanes before being called up to the Montague Maniacs of the IJHL where he helped them capture the silver medal in the Don Johnson Cup.

Jon is the captain of the Flames and again displayed his leadership and defensive abilities in a pair of key victories by the North River Island Excavators Flames over the Lynx and the Charlottetown Halliwell Consulting Abbies. He is a solid blueliner and broke up several offensive rushes by the opposition in both of these games. He also contributed on offense with two assists and has 19 points in 24 games played to date this season.

January 18th - 24th, 2012

The South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx rookie scored the Lynx' only goal in Fridays' loss to the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch, but exploded with three goals and added three assists for a six point night in a 7-4 win over Tyne Valley in Crapaud on Saturday night. Rob's has been a huge part of the team's offence recently, with 13 points in his last four games.

Jake earned himself a 4-0 shutout win in Tyne Valley as he helped the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces move up into third place in the standings. He made key saves throughout the game and was full value on the 24 shots he faced. Jake is a rookie in the league and with his continued strong performance the Aces are hoping to go deep into the play-offs.

January 11th - 17th, 2012

Kory scored three goals on the weekend including the game-winner in overtime against the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch. His strong effort helped the Charlottetown Halliwell Consulting Abbies create a bit of breathing room in second place in the standings. He's an overage player this season and has not put up the offensive numbers he did a year ago, but is still at more than a point-per-game average and sits fifth on the team in scoring.

Facing games against the top two teams posed a big challenge but Sean's solid performance gave his team a chance to win on both nights. After giving up three early goals in the benefit game against the charged up Abbies, Sean played 51 minutes of shutout hockey to enable his team to come back and earn a 3-3 tie. He then played solid against the undefeated Red Devils on Sunday afternoon and held them to less than five goals for just the third time this season in a 4-3 loss.

January 4th - 10th, 2012

Matt led the North River Island Excavators Flames attack in their three games over the weekend. On Saturday he scored a hat trick in a victory over the Hurricanes. He scored a goal in a loss to Charlottetown on Sunday and then had five points in a victory over the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch on Monday. His nine points have helped the Flames climb from sixth to fourth place in the league standings.

Chris made 29 stops on Saturday night against the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx. His 10 saves in the third were particularly crucial when he allowed the Charlottetown Halliwell Consulting Abbies to pull away in a close game and earn a 5-2 win. The performance was a solid turnaround after having given up 16 goals in his last two games. The Abbies are positioning themselves for another playoff run and Chris will be a key driver of the teams success.

December 28th, 2011 - January 3rd, 2012

The new league leader in points not only overtook the lead but stretched it to 7 points after an 11-point weekend in wins against the Charlottetown Halliwell Consulting Abbies and Tignish Perry's Construction Aces. The Clover Farmers wins moved them from 6th to 3rd in the ever-changing league standings. The Clover Farmers have won their games with offence and Evan's 39 points in 17 games has been the biggest contribution.

Ben's 25-save performance gave the Red Devils another win on Friday night versus the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Construction Lynx. He leads the league in GAA (2.97) and is still undefeated this year (8-0-1). Ben is in his second year in the league and has improved statistically over last season.

December 21st - 27th, 2011

Anthony had a hot hand for the Charlottetown Halliwell Consulting Abbies on Friday night. He was an offensive threat almost every shift and was in on all five of his teams' goals in regulation, setting up the Abbies for the OT win against the North River Island Excavators Flames. He is in his first year in the league after having played the past two seasons in the IJHL (Junior B).

Jonathan had a 24-save performance on Friday night against the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch to lead the Red Devils to another victory. Jonathan sits second in both GAA and save percentage with numbers of 3.11 and .898 respectively as well as a perfect 9-0 record on the still undefeated Pownal squad. As a third-year player he is having his best season statistically and has improved his career regular season record to 25-6-1.

December 14th - 20th, 2011

In his last year as a Red Devil, Kris continues to be a team leader. His two goals and four assists on the weekend lead the team to two more victories in a still undefeated season. As of today, Kris leads the league in the ever-changing scoring race with 32 points. He's recorded at least a point in 15 of 16 games played so far this season. He's played a whopping 105 games so far as a Red Devil and as an overage player this season he has already surpassed his best season offensively by six points.

For the third straight week a Lynx goalie has won this award and for the second straight week it's been for a shutout. Doug rounded out the tri-fecta of Lynx goaltender awards with a 17-save shutout of the second-place Hurricanes on Saturday night in Crapaud. Doug leads his team statistically between the pipes and the third-year player is having his best season with more then a full goal improvement in GAA and a more than 2% improvement in save %.

December 7th - 13th, 2011

As team captain, Andy lead by example last weekend when the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Construction Lynx took three of a possible four points in a home-and-home series against the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces. His performance in Tignish on Sunday night was particularly noticable when he scored a goal and added three assists including the game-tying goal with 10 seconds remaining in regulation to erase a 3-0 deficit and earn a single point for his team.

For the second-straight week a Lynx player took defensive honours after a 35-save shutout by Dylan against the Aces on Saturday night. After a brief stint with the Lynx last season in which he appeared in three regular season games, this second-year player has already played in six games as a regular starter between the pipes for a team that has been on a role as of late.

November 30th - December 6th, 2011

Kyle helped the Charlottetown Halliwell Consulting Abbies continue their winning ways recently with a hat-trick in an Abbies 8-4 win Saturday versus Tyne Valley and another two goals in Sunday's win over the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces. His recent play is great news for the Abbies who's offense was struggling early in the season.

Johnathon turned aside 35 of 38 shots against his old teammates Saturday night in Crapaud, helping the South Side MacDonald's Excavation / EF MacPhee Lynx beat the North River Island Excavators Flames 4-3 and ending their weekend with a split. He also played 10 minutes in relief in Friday's game versus Pownal. He played 22 games with the Flames over the past two seasons before joining the Lynx for the 2011-12 campaign.

November 23rd - 29th, 2011

Kaven played a huge role in the North River Island Excavators Flames home-and-home sweep of the Tyne Valley Clover Farmers this past week. He scored six points including the winner in Sunday's 7-5 victory and a hat-trick in Saturday night's win. Kaven hails from the Magdalen Islands, and is in his first season in the league.

Brady stopped all 36 shots to record the league's first shutout of the 2011-12 season on Friday night at home against the Holland College Junior Hurricanes. The Morell Cover All Construction Crunch goaltender's performance was redemption after having given up seven goals and being pulled after just 25 minutes in his last start against the Hurricanes two weeks ago.

November 16th - 22nd, 2011

First-year player, Ryan Compton is the first Morell Cover All Construction Crunch player to win an award this year. He did it with a whopping 7-point weekend as the Crunch rocketed up the standings with an 8-4 win over Tyne Valley and a 5-3 win over the Charlottetown Halliwell Consulting Abbies. Ryan took the team lead in scoring on a team that's shared the goal-scoring burden throughout the roster this year after relying on the top line to score almost half of its goals last season.

Jeremy stood tall in his home town of Tignish when the Hurricanes edged the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces Sunday night with a 2-1 win. He turned aside all but one of the 35 shots fired against him, giving up the loan goal in the final minutes of the game. Jeremy has drastically improved his stats on last season. To date he's cut his GAA down by more than half of last season's amount and has increased his save percentage by more than 6%.

November 9th - 15th, 2011

Evan is the captain of the Clover Farmers and knows how to put the puck in the net. He's tied for second in the scoring race after a six-point weekend in a home-and-home sweep of the South Side MacDonald's Excavators / EF MacPhee Construction Lynx, the team he played eight games with last season. He's scored in all six games so far this season.

Chris was again spectacular in the Charlottetown Halliwell Consulting Abbies 2-2 tie with the first-place Pownal Red Devils. The tie ended the Red Devils 7-game winning streak after a 39-save performance from Chris. He was key in the final minutes of regulation as the Abbies killed off a 4-minute penalty.

November 2nd - 8th, 2011

Matt logged huge minutes against the Morell Cover All Construction Crunch on Saturday night and was rewarded with a hat-trick and and assist. He also generated several other scoring chances to help the North River Island Excavators Flames win their first game of the season. Matt played last season with the Montague Maniacs of the Island Junior Hockey League and helped his team to a silver medal at the Don Johnson Cup.

Aaron stopped 48 of 49 shots on Sunday night to help the Tyne Valley Clover Farmers earn their first win of the season and and the Holland College Junior Hurricanes their first loss. He is a first-year player who's making his mark right out of the gate.

October 26th - November 1st, 2011

Jeremy had 3 goals and 2 assists this past weekend. His penalty shot goal against the Charlottetown Halliwell Consulting Abbies on Friday night helped his team to the first of their two wins on the weekend. The Red Devils top the standings with a 4-0 record. Jeremy is in his third year in the league.

Stephen logged big minutes in the Hurricanes 3-3 tie versus the Tignish Perry's Construction Aces. The 'Canes were short benched and Stephen was relied on to shut down the opposing teams top players. Stephen is a first-year player out of the Sherwood Minor Hockey Association.

October 19th - 25th, 2011

Zach unleashed a fury of offense to help the Holland College Junior Hurricanes open up their season with a 2-0 record. Ten points in two games including a six goal affair against the Tyne Valley Clover Farmers on Saturday night earned him the offensive award. Zach is a second-year player from Antigonish, NS.

Chris stopped 41 shots on Saturday night agaist a pressing Tignish Perry's Construction Aces squad to earn the Abbies a 3-1 win. He was particularly strong in the second period when he faced a barrage of scoring chances to keep the Charlottetown Halliwell Consulting Abbies in the game.
